The Phlegraean fields have really the fascination of the earth where natural beauties and extraordinary cultural and archaeological testimonies , live in perfect harmony. The Phlegraean fields consist of a vast volcanic area, stretching itself from the hill of Posillipo to Cuma, including very interesting areas too ,like Agnano with its thermal resources ; Pozzuoli rich of extraordinary archaeological testimonies ; Baia where traces of splendid ruins of the Roman Age do still exist ; the lake of Averno and Lucrino. Bacoli and Miseno contribute to give an enchanting aspect to the Phlegraean fields. Cuma is ,besides, the oldest area of the Phlegraean fields , and the first Greek colony settlement on the dry land.
